Tau Lepton, MBA
Will inevitably transition into a different role within 290 femtoseconds.
Tau Lepton, MBA, came to newtrawn INC from a brief but spectacular career at Goldman-Sigma, where he was the youngest analyst ever to spontaneously decay during an earnings call. He has held 47 distinct job titles in the past 12 months, all at newtrawn INC, all simultaneously.
As Director of Decay Operations, Tau oversees the orderly transition of teammates, products, and quarterly objectives into their natural decay products. His department's motto, 'Nothing Lasts; That's a Feature', has been adopted as the official newtrawn organizational philosophy.
Tau is married to a muon and an electron. The arrangement is, according to him, 'lepton-typical' and 'audited annually for charge conservation'.
"I'd love to chat longer, but in 290 femtoseconds I'll be a muon. Email me, it'll catch up."
— Tau Lepton, MBA
Background
Tau Lepton is the heaviest member of the lepton family and, by his own estimation, the most upwardly mobile, in the sense that he is constantly transitioning into something else. After Goldman-Sigma, he briefly considered stability, then thought better of it, citing ‘poor optics’. He now treats every quarter as a fresh decay channel and every org chart as a temporary, fondly remembered configuration.
As Director of Decay Operations, Tau ensures that nothing at newtrawn INC lasts longer than it should. He maintains the firm’s official decay calendar, schedules the orderly sunset of initiatives, and personally signs every certificate of half-life completion, often as a different particle than the one who started it.
Areas of expertise
- Decay channel selection and end-of-life roadmapping
- Simultaneous role-holding (current record: 47)
- Charge conservation across complicated personal arrangements
- Spontaneous reorganization and graceful re-emission of staff
- Tachyonic SLA delivery (resolving incidents before they occur)
Notable decay events
Tau holds the firm record for most decays during a single all-hands (eleven), as well as the record for youngest analyst to spontaneously decay during an earnings call. He regards both as ‘leadership moments’. His most common decay channel remains a muon plus two neutrinos, though he keeps the others ‘in the pipeline for optionality’.
Speaking & publications
Tau is the author of Decay Channels in Director-Level Roles (Journal of Half-Life Strategy, 2026) and lead author of the newtrawn whitepaper on tachyonic SLAs. He delivers keynotes frequently, though attendees are advised that the speaker who finishes may not be numerically identical to the one who began.
